At Geneva Watch Days 2025, Bvlgari brings both history and innovation into focus with the launch of two striking new Octo Finissimo Ultra watches. Alongside a landmark exhibition at the Ritz-Carlton retracing the collection’s record-breaking journey since 2014, the Roman Maison introduces the Octo Finissimo Tourbillon Marble and the Octo Finissimo Lee Ufan x Bvlgari – two timepieces that show-off Bvlgari’s artistic vision and micro-mechanical mastery.
A Retrospective of Finesse
The exhibition celebrates over a decade of boundary-pushing watchmaking. From the world’s thinnest tourbillon in 2014 to the revolutionary Ultra Tourbillon unveiled earlier this year, the Octo Finissimo has consistently challenged horological conventions. Its architectural case, inspired by the Basilica of Maxentius in Rome, has become a design icon, a canvas for both technical achievement and creative expression.

Highlights of the Bvlgari Octo Finissimo over the years: from the very first model in 2014 to the Ultra Tourbillon presented earlier this year.
The Marble Tourbillon: Roman Grandeur in Miniature
The new Octo Finissimo Tourbillon Marble is a feat of both art and engineering. Measuring just 4.85mm thick, the watch features a dial carved from deep-blue Italian marble – one of the most challenging materials ever attempted in haute horlogerie. Beneath lies the hand-wound BVL 268 calibre with flying tourbillon, just 1.95 mm thin, boasting a 52-hour power reserve. Limited to 30 pieces, it embodies Bvlgari’s ability to transform raw Roman heritage into wearable innovation.

The Bvlgari Octo Finissimo Marble Tourbillon follows the Verde Alpi in green marble revealed latest the year. On this occasion, the dial is made from blue marble and the 40mm case from titanium, just 4.85 mm thick.
The Lee Ufan Collaboration: Time as Reflection
In contrast, the Octo Finissimo Lee Ufan x Bvlgari explores time as philosophy. The Korean-born, Japan-based artist brings his signature theme of rock and mirror to watchmaking, realised here in a mirrored dial within a hand-finished titanium case. Powered by the BVL 138 micro-rotor calibre, this ultra-thin creation (5.5 mm) is limited to 150 pieces. Each carries Lee Ufan’s signature on the caseback, affirming its identity as both a watch and a work of art.

The design of the Octo Finissimo Lee Ufan x Bvlgari is based on one of the artist’s key themes: the contrast between a rock – static and limited – and the infinite reflections of a mirror.
Beyond Time: A Living Legacy
Together, these novelties illustrate how the Octo Finissimo transcends watchmaking. Whether carved from marble or conceived as a philosophical object, the Ultra continues to redefine finesse. Bvlgari’s decision to present these exceptional timepieces alongside the comprehensive retrospective exhibition at Geneva Watch Days underscores the significance of both the collection’s evolution and these remarkable new additions to the Octo Finissimo family.
