Last Sunday, we embarked on a tail-wagging adventure to Ross & Friends to discover their new Doggy Afternoon Tea. Tucked away just off the M25, this doggy haven is a true paradise for pups and their doting “pawrents”. IT offers over 35 acres of safe, enclosed space for dogs to run free, play, and explore – all in a stunning natural setting.
As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by Nick from the guest services team, whose love for dogs was clear from the start. He guided us through the different areas, each designed with fun, safety, and enrichment in mind. From a ball pit and campfire area to a treat stall and grooming station, Ross & Friends has thought of everything to make a dog’s day out truly special. There’s even a dedicated space for reactive dogs, ensuring that every pup can enjoy the great outdoors at their own pace.

COCO’S BIG DAY OUT
My little 5-kilo Poochon, Coco, had the time of her life. She dived headfirst into the ball pit, made new furry friends, and zoomed across the fields with boundless joy. The only part she wasn’t too thrilled about? The cleaning station at the end! But even that was impressive – with warm water showers and a professional dog hair dryer, it was a spa-worthy experience.
AFTERNOON TEA… DOGGY STYLE!
After a couple of hours of play, it was time to relax at the newly opened café, where Coco was in for a real treat—her very own doggy afternoon tea. The selection was adorable and delicious:
🐾 Dog-friendly biscuits and pastries
🐾 Whipped cream and cucumber slices
🐾 A special dog-friendly tea
🐾 A squeaky toy souvenir (which quickly became Coco’s new favorite)
For the ultimate indulgence, you can even add a doggy “paw-secco”—because why shouldn’t our pups enjoy a little luxury too?

MORE TO COME
Ross & Friends isn’t just stopping here. They have exciting new plans, including private cabanas, a grooming salon, and a children’s playground, making it the perfect family-friendly day out.
With its stunning setting in the Berkhamsted countryside, Ross & Friends is truly one of a kind. There’s no other place in the UK quite like it, where dogs can safely explore, socialize, and try new experiences—and where their humans can soak up the joy of watching them thrive.
Coco was reluctant to leave, and honestly, so was I! But one thing’s for sure: we’ll be back soon for another round of play, paws, and pastries. Find out more about Ross & Friends, HERE.
