Tissot NBA Supersport Special Edition 2025

A bold fusion of precision and basketball heritage

Tissot continue to do what they do best. For some time now, the historic Swiss watch brand has made itself known as the timing partner for mainstream sports with a growing target audience. Case in point, on 23rdJanuary, 2025, while launching the new Tissot NBA Supersport Special Edition 2025 watch, the brand also announced the extension of its global partnership with the National Basketball Association (NBA), Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) and NBA G League.

The marketing agreement began in 2015. With this new multiyear deal Tissot becomes the presenting partner of an NBA Global Game in Europe, with a redesigned, state-of-the-art shot clock and timing system.

The newly redesigned shot clock – the timer that counts down the seconds a team is allowed to shoot at the opposing basket – is now equipped with additional advanced technology while retaining the look of the previous version, with digits of the same size and colours to maintain consistency, but with capabilities that allow it to be illuminated in any colour and integrating the green coaches’ challenge signal into the system. The new shot clocks will be rolled out in arenas with the 2025-26 NBA and the 2026 WNBA season.

To complement the new shot clock, Tissot unveiled the Supersport NBA Special Edition 2025 watch, the official timepiece of the NBA. A quartz powered chronograph, with subdials to count the minutes and hours and a central hand featuring the NBA logo which counts the seconds. Housed in a 45mm black PVD case, the textured black dial features the same pattern as a basketball, which helps the legibility of reading the time, with numerals inspired by player uniform numbers. On the back of the case, the NBA logo is surrounded by the cities and states the 30 NBA teams take their names from, arranged by conference. In keeping with the configuration of the USA, the Western Conference teams are positioned on the left while Eastern Conference teams are on the right.
