Rocco Forte House Milan

Italian Design for luxury contemporary living

The signature elegant luxury of  Rocco Forte Hotels has been transposed to a beautiful new setting with the unveiling of Rocco Forte House Milan. After the plaudits received by Rocco Forte House Rome, the group is now opening eleven graceful new apartments on the highly desirable Via Manzoni in the very centre of Milan. They are designed by the acclaimed trio of Olga Polizzi, Paolo Moschino, and Philip Vergeylen.

These exclusive apartments provide guests with a truly remarkable melange of luxury, privacy and bespoke service. They are the first of their type in the city. Drawing on Rocco Forte Hotels’ world-class hospitality, they take the imaginative and unique private residence concept to Milan.

Rocco Forte House Milan is located in the inspirational beating heart of the city’s fashion district. Each apartment has outstanding service at its disposal with a concierge, valet and dedicated chef, plus a gym for the sole use of guests.

The elegant combination of classic and contemporary furnishings in this Tortona apartment captures the city’s sophisticated style and spirit.

All the residences look over a traditional Milanese courtyard. They are constructed so each guest can soak up the one-of-a-kind delights of the city, whilst enjoying modern yet timeless Italian style.

The residences are in a 19th-century palazzo, which abuts the splendid Via della Spiga. Describing working with such a unique canvas, Polizzi explains, “We have used contemporary elements throughout, keeping the building’s past alive through the frescos and fireplace features.”

This approach is tangible in each apartment, mirroring the city’s affluent past. In contrast, the upper-floor apartments display a more contemporary style, with large glass windows and terraces. The refined taste of Polizzi, Director of Design for the group, in collaboration with award-winning Moschino and Vergeylen, shines through in every detail.

The apartments – available with one, two or three bedrooms – take their names from four of the most celebrated areas of the centre of Milan – Brera, Duomo, Isola and Tortona – underscoring their intrinsic connection to the city’s world-famous sense of style.

Charles Forte, Director of Development and New Acquisitions for Rocco Forte Hotels, a family business for four generations, observes: “We are thrilled to open Rocco Forte House Milan, introducing a new concept to the city, that combines the intimacy of a private home with the service Rocco Forte Hotels is known for.”

Polizzi sums up the project as a “design that blends elegant Milanese style with the comfort and warmth one would expect in a home. The residences embody the true sense of Milan through the architecture and design, which is a complete mix of old and new.” As important as design, is comfort, which Polizzi left in the capable and experienced hands of Moschino and Vergeylen. “Together, we created a design that blends elegant Milanese style with the comfort and warmth one would expect in a home”, she explains.

Rocco Forte House Milan is a sophisticated address that will make you feel as if you were a member of one of the illustrious families that shaped the fabric of the Italian capital of design.
