Asprey x Nuun Feather Capsule Collection

Princess Nourah Al-Faisal reinterprets the Asprey classic

The house of Asprey presents a new collaboration with HRH Princess Nourah Al-Faisal, the Asprey x Nuun Feather collection. Consisting of 13 exquisite pieces, this original interpretation of the classic jewellery line includes innovative materials and colourful gemstones infused with elements of art-deco in the design.

The original Asprey Feather Collection was inspired by the Prince of Wales badge, where three white ostrich feathers emerge from a gold coronet. Princess Nourah’s imagination has brought a contemporary flair to this ancient symbol of royal heraldry, which that dates back to Edward, the Black Prince, in the 14th century. “When the historic house of Asprey invited me to reimagine their iconic Feather Collection, I was thrilled,” said Princess Nourah Al-Faisal. “I knew I had to push creativity to new heights […].

Influenced by her multicultural environment and passion for graphic art, Princess Nourah Al-Faisal saw these feathers from a new perspective. “[…] I’ve woven in elements of Art Deco, which is a style close to my heart and integral to both Nuun and Asprey’s design languages”, she commented. “It’s been a fascinating process to blend these classic influences with more avant-garde concepts.”

The use of modern materials such as titanium and different kinds of coloured gemstones is key to the romantic and warm personality of this capsule collection. From pale pink sapphires and morganite to yellow diamonds, the interplay of hues and materials gives each piece its own character while still harmonising with the group.

Choosing to work with such an array of exquisite materials – each with its own unique properties – and layering them into intricate designs required the Nuun craftsmen to develop new techniques of great skill, from meticulous metalwork to delicate stone setting, assembly, and polishing. The resulting 13 pieces can be made to order in different colours and metal combinations, ranging from rings, earrings, bracelet, and a statement necklace to be revealed in 2025.
