The House of Bovet has introduced semi-precious stone dials for the first time in its illustrious 200-year history. The new Récital 12 variants featuring malachite and tiger’s eye dials represent an exciting evolution for the Swiss luxury manufacture, adding natural stone artistry to their renowned repertoire of complications and avant-garde designs.
The Récital 12 collection itself was in development for more than two years, responding to collector requests for an everyday-wear timepiece. The new models marks another historic first – Bovet’s inaugural timepiece on an integrated bracelet, crafted from Grade 5 titanium for supreme comfort and durability. The same material is used for the 40mm Dimier-style case.

The Bovet Récital 12 Malachite showcases the stone’s mesmerizing green patterns, with the manufacture’s
openworked movement visible through the dial’s architecture.
The malachite version captivates with its mesmerising green patterns that range from flowing bands to concentric circles, each dial entirely unique due to the stone’s natural formation. Known as the “Stone of Transformation,” malachite’s copper-rich composition creates stunning visual depth while echoing the forest-covered Jura Mountains surrounding Bovet’s castle – a particular inspiration for owner Pascal Raffy.
The tiger’s eye variant showcases the stone’s signature chatoyancy effect, where bands of golden-brown light appear to move across the surface as the watch tilts. This natural optical phenomenon, impossible to replicate artificially, gives each dial a hypnotic quality that collectors will find irresistible. Historically revered as a talisman for protection and courage, tiger’s eye brings both mystique and meaning to the wrist.

Both stone dial variants are limited to just 60 pieces worldwide, ensuring exclusivity befitting their rarity. The manufacturing process proves equally remarkable – each stone must be cut to ultra-thin dimensions, reinforced with metal backing for stability, then polished to mirror perfection while preserving the delicate natural structure.
The 40mm titanium case houses Bovet’s new hand-wound calibre 13BMDR12C2, featuring an inverted movement design that showcases the in-house balance wheel and gear train on the dial side. With 227 components delivering seven days of power reserve, the movement exemplifies Bovet’s commitment to extended autonomy far exceeding industry standards.

The new Bovet Récital 12 features the brand’s first-ever integrated titanium bracelet, complete
with an ingenious folding clasp that includes 3mm of adjustability for all-day comfort.
The ingenious titanium bracelet includes a folding clasp with built-in expansion mechanism, allowing 3mm of adjustability for day-long comfort. When closed, the clasp’s design cleverly forms Bovet’s signature “V” into an infinity symbol – a poetic touch typical of this artistic manufacture.
These stone dial Récital 12 pieces transform horological appreciation into meditation on time’s relationship with earth’s ancient beauty. For collectors seeking both daily wearability and geological artistry, Bovet has created timepieces that celebrate nature’s unpredictable magnificence while maintaining the house’s reputation for exceptional Swiss craftsmanship.
Starting from £45,000 (estimated), available through authorised Bovet retailers worldwide.
