Bell & Ross BR-05 Skeleton Phantom Ceramic

Stealth meets substance

The new Bell & Ross BR‑05 Skeleton Phantom Ceramic represents a polished evolution of the BR‑05 skeleton series, now fully embraced in stealth mode. While it retains the technical foundation of previous models, this limited-release iteration deepens the aesthetic impact in all‑black ceramic.

Presented in a 41 mm black ceramic case, the watch cleverly balances brushed and polished surfaces, creating an interplay of light that gives depth to the monochrome palette. Ceramic is notably hard, corrosion-resistant, lighter than steel, and hypoallergenic – ideal for an everyday sporty bracelet watch.

The smoky sapphire plate reveals the automatic BR‑CAL.322‑1 movement, rooted in the dependable Sellita SW300 platform. This calibre runs at 4 Hz with a solid 54‑hour power reserve. The Phantom version pushes the “black‑out” concept further: hour markers and hands are filled in with black Super‑LumiNova, which appears charcoal-grey under daylight only to reveal its green glow at night.

Drawing design DNA from Bell & Ross’s aviation-inspired roots, the Phantom aesthetic is a callback to the BR‑01 Phantom from 2007, with stealth aircraft cues and modernist art influences. This watch carries the “round-in‑a‑square” cockpit instrument vibe across its integrated bracelet and straightforward time display.

Compared to last year’s BR‑05 Skeleton Black Ceramic and Black Lum Ceramic, the new Phantom version deepens the monochrome aesthetic with black lume and finishes. It has higher retail positioning: $8,900 on rubber and $9,800 on bracelet.

For collectors who appreciate integrated‑bracelet ceramic watches, this is a statement piece: stealthy, well-proportioned, and technically sound. Though it may follow a familiar formula, the Phantom’s total black execution gives the BR‑05 lineage a sleek new dimension. Limited to 500 pieces.
