The most revealing figure in the AMB 002 specification is not 130bhp, 190kg or even its five-kilogram titanium frame. It is 225hp: the output of its predecessor, the AMB 001 Pro. Aston Martin and Brough Superior have deliberately stepped backwards on peak power, which tells you almost everything about their first road-legal motorbike. The 002 is not a track bike reluctantly fitted with road equipment; it has been developed from scratch for the road.
The partnership began with the track-only AMB 001 in 2019 and moved further into hyperbike territory with the AMB 001 Pro in 2022. Seven years on, the more meaningful challenge is making the collaboration work beyond a circuit.

Its new 1,083cc, water-cooled V-twin produces 130bhp and 110Nm, with the emphasis moved towards low- and mid-range torque. Designed, machined and assembled at Brough Superior’s Toulouse headquarters, the engine uses billet-machined crankcases and sits beneath a titanium backbone structure weighing just 5kg. Carbon-fibre bodywork and fuel tank help keep mass low, contributing to a claimed 50:50 weight distribution. Then there is the Fior-type double-wishbone front suspension, separating steering from braking loads and resisting dive under hard braking. All this tech is designed to make the bike more readable from the saddle.
Aston Martin’s hand is obvious in the AMB 002. The signature side strake cuts through the fairing and wraps around the headlamp. Ribbed twin exhausts echo the Vanquish, DB12 S and DBX S, while the rear light blades recall the Vulcan, Valkyrie and Valhalla. Slim mirror stalks, exposed mechanical elements and hand-finished leather keep the result somewhere between superbike and grand tourer.

The less obvious point is historical. Brough Superior acquired its famous “Rolls-Royce of Motorcycles” description in the 1920s, although George Brough’s machines were not just racers for wealthy owners. Historical accounts emphasise fast road performance, stability, refinement and a notably low centre of gravity. In that sense, the AMB 002 may be the most authentically Brough of the three Aston Martin collaborations. The AMB 001 and Pro were all about circuit extremity; the 002 brings exceptional engineering back to the road, which is where Brough Superior originally made its reputation.
Even the riding position supports that thought. It is more upright, sightlines are deliberately unobstructed and the power delivery has been tuned for accessible pace rather than a spectacular top-end figure. With only 300 examples planned and deliveries beginning in Q3 2027, exclusivity remains intact.
