A Year In Orbit

De Bethune at Bucherer, 12 Months On

It’s been a year since De Bethune’s watches began gracing the displays of Bucherer boutiques across Europe,  a milestone that underscores the growing synergy between one of Switzerland’s most innovative independent manufactures and one of the continent’s most discerning luxury watch retailers. For collectors keen to explore De Bethune’s world in person, Bucherer London currently presents a trio of standout models that exemplify the brand’s fusion of avant-garde design and technical precision.

At the heart of the London boutique’s current offering sits the De Bethune DB28 XS Steel Wheels. This 38.7 mm titanium manual-winding timepiece reinterprets the emblematic DB28 architecture in a more compact form, while retaining the signature openworked aesthetic that celebrates movement architecture. Powered by the hand-wound calibre DB2115V13 with six-day power reserve, its open dial offers a dynamic window into De Bethune’s mechanical ingenuity.

De Bethune timepieces currently at Bucherer London include the DB27 Titan Hawk, the DB28 XS Steel Wheels and the DB28 XS Starry Seas.

Alongside it is the De Bethune DB28 XS Starry Seas, a poetic ode to the night sky. With a titanium case and a guilloché blued dial adorned with white-gold stars, this model blends classical allure with modern craftsmanship. Its mechanical heart, a hand-wound movement with a six-day power reserve, pairs sublime aesthetics with horological substance.

Completing the trio is the De Bethune DB27 Titan Hawk, a 43 mm automatic crafted in polished titanium. Characterised by a microlight-finished dial and De Bethune’s patented floating lugs, the Titan Hawk offers a more traditional three-hand display, still with the brand’s signature futuristic spirit. Its in-house AUTOV2 calibre delivers reliable performance and contemporary elegance.

A year on from its European debut through Bucherer, De Bethune’s presence at the London boutique continues to offer collectors an opportunity to engage with independent watchmaking at its most compelling.
