The Hope Classic Rally is a unique event which gives guests the opportunity to drive cars rarely seen on the road and immerse themselves in a weekend of motoring, sport and entertainment.
The event is now in its fourth year and has helped to raise over £800,000 for the charity WeSeeHope, driving sustainable change for vulnerable children and young people in Southern and Eastern Africa through their Village Investors Programme, which introduces self-funding savings and loans groups to African communities. Being part of these groups enables adults and young people to learn skills, start their own businesses and dramatically improve their lives and the lives of their children.
The premise of the event is simple, enthusiasts donate their cars for participants of the Rally to drive with no restrictions, other than the law of the road! They are some of the most beautiful cars ever built: almost everything you can imagine, from a Ferrari 250SWB to a racing XK 120 to a Mercedes Benz Gullwing. This year’s event takes place on Friday 15th and Saturday 16th June 2018, starting at the historic Brooklands and Mercedes-Benz World. The two-day event begins with a VIP drinks reception and dinner hosted at Mercedes Benz World, followed by an auction in aid of WeSeeHope and celebrity Q&A session.
The much-anticipated reveal of car allocations will that place that evening. Following an overnight stay and breakfast, guests will then be given a full briefing on their allocated car before setting off on a carefully designed rally route through the beautiful Surrey Hills and rolling South Downs, enabling guests to experience the best these cars have to offer.
