The new partnership brings Miamo’s personalised skincare approach into The Shepherd Mayfair’s rooms and suites through a curated selection of products available in guest minibars, alongside full-size skincare protocols that can be ordered through the hotel’s in-room dining menu.
Founded in 2012 by pharmacists Dr Elena Aceto di Capriglia and her daughter Dr Camilla D’Antonio, Miamo builds its treatments around active ingredients, personalised protocols and research into how skin responds to age and environment.
At the centre is epigenetics: the study of changes in gene activity that occur without altering the DNA sequence itself. In skin, these mechanisms are influenced by ageing and external factors such as UV exposure, pollution and stress. Miamo’s patented Epigenage complex is its cosmetic response to that science, developed to support antioxidant and anti-inflammatory defences and processes involved in epidermal and dermal regeneration.

Miamo’s Epigenetic Power Facial combines hands-on facial techniques with professional formulations developed around epigenetics, skin regeneration and the biology of ageing.
My treatment began with cleansing and skin analysis. Claudia, my therapist, found dryness, dehydration and redness, so chose the Epigenetic Power protocol. After double exfoliation came professional serums, followed by the Epigenage Shot, the concentrated booster at the heart of the treatment. The Age Reverse Masque followed, combining Epigenage with ceramides, three molecular weights of hyaluronic acid and soothing ingredients including allantoin and glycyrrhetinic acid. Longevity Cell Care Soft Satin cream and SPF50 drops completed the facial.
The wider Miamo philosophy extends beyond epigenetics. Its Longevity Cell Care formulations address the “exposome” – the cumulative effect of factors such as UV, pollution and stress – while other ranges use biomimetic peptides, multiple molecular weights of hyaluronic acid and pre-, pro- and postbiotics to target collagen, hydration and the skin microbiome.
Most convincing is the emphasis on adjustment. Miamo offers an online consultation to create an individual protocol, followed several weeks later by reassessment as the skin changes. The treatment begins with biology, but remains responsive to the face in front of the therapist. The Miamo Epigenetic Power Facial was offered exclusively during London Fashion Week as part of a special collaboration with The Shepherd Mayfair and is not currently available to book at the hotel.
